I have already received some questions about the specifics of the race/trip. So I will answer them on this site for everyone to see. I know some of you probably have some of the same questions. This race is for fun!!!! I don't plan on having any gross things for you to eat along the route because no one wants to get sick and we don't want you sick! It might be good for the video however???
There will be some missions along the trip that will make you travel outside your comfort zone to do. You will be on teams of three and in most cases only one or two of you have to take the challenge so your teammates can do it for you if you don't like it. You don't have to do anything you don't want to on the route, but the whole idea is to have fun and trying new things can be very fun and exciting so live a little and try them!!!
As for the teams, trust me on this....you don't want to race with your spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend! We will be breaking up domestics all along the route! I will team you with two others so you are in teams of three. I will put you with friends in most cases! Some of you may have one new face on your team because I think you would work together well, but trust me....everyone on the trip is fun and you will leave with some great new friendships!
Most race days only last around 4 to 6 hours from start to finish. There will be no early mornings races! You will be able to get a bit of breakfast and wake up before we roll! We will most likely be at our final destination by 4:00 pm everyday and have the rest of the night to have fun with everyone in the group. Food, alcohol, music and fun every night in fantastic settings. Throw in a drinking game, some cards and a fun surprise here and there and you have the makings for a great experience you won't forget!!!
If you have any other questions, post them for me!

The Joker
Joker,
ReplyDeleteAre you staying behind to babysit everyone's kids? I don't want to have to stare at your chemically malformed face all week...you ugly schmuck.
Batman
Dear Joker, I just took the dates off of work. I'm in! One more thing, please don't put me on your baby momma's team, I want to win. Thanks, Dan
ReplyDeleteI can see how this is going to play out....Since I single handedly lead my last team to victory everyone is going to want be on my team. Danny is the first I am sure he wont be the last!
ReplyDeleteI may not come in first, but I sure is hell know I wont come in last, especially if the Joker puts together a Diva team again. As long as Chris and Lynn are on the same team, none of us will have to worry about coming in last.
ReplyDeleteThe sun was in our eyes! At least we didn't cheat and cheat piss poorly and still not win.....yeah that was you Danny you loser!
ReplyDeleteOk, so the joker obviously did not know how to find our house in the darkness of the countryside and left our "package" with my sister! If he had made it to our humble abode, he would have at least met the same reaction as amanda had--for sure! Either way, the amazing race is a show I have always wanted to do, and this race, with friends, would be even better! I love adventure and my hubby loves sport (not so sure how adventurous he is tho:))!
ReplyDeleteAs of now, we are still trying to work out the babysitter issue and justify why we would leave our tiny monkeys behind for 8 days when we have never even left them for 1--i know crazy! More to follow I'm sure!
whoa, hey Lynne, didn't mean to get under your skin. This is not the place to bash fellow teammates. I was simply stating an observation from the last race. Also, "the sun was in our eyes" is not an excuse, considering you were all probably wearing designer sunglasses. Pretty sure we all had to look at the same sun.
ReplyDeleteNo Danny if you remember the DIVA team got a convertable while the rest of the teams carried there luggage in our cars...So I guess the sun could have been in their eyes.
ReplyDeleteHow could I forget. All of us were allowed one piece of luggage. Not sure how Lynne was able to bring 3 large pieces.
ReplyDeleteWow, Dan. Did you actually refer to me as the Joker's baby's momma? You should save your smack talk for the race Team DRRRRR...if I recall your team not only didn't win (probably because you were on a smoke/shit break for half the race), but you cheated most of the time and STILL lost. The sun shining off our bling may have caused us to go off course a few times, but at least we lost fair and square...not like you miserable cheaters.
ReplyDeleteHey, Ed....how about a cup of shut the f**k up? I seem to remember team stupid trying to buy groceries at Lake Tahoe and forgetting to bring them home AFTER they bought them. DUH???
Oh, Tara! Leave those kiddos behind for a week of fun - the rest of us do! Maybe they can hang out at the Batcave with Batmans's offspring? Maybe Batman can have Robin come over to help man the cave.
ReplyDeleteIt seriously is the trip of a lifetime and so much fun. Even if you do get stuck with Dan and Ed on your team!
So Joker: If you invited over 30 people why is it only about 16 of us have profiles? You said your people were smart but they cant figure out how to do this? REALLY?! And help them get photos on here so we know who we are trash talking!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd for you Chris... You know the reason your team didn't go to the grocery store is because we couldn't afford the gas it would have taken to have your team to drive to Sacramento before you realized YOU WERE GOING THE WRONG WAY!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like we hit a nerve with Chris. Hopefully the Joker doesn't make this race too hard for Chris and her team. I mean, maybe we shouldn't have a map, written directions, a GPS, cell phones and a road atlas to help us this time, so we don't get lost. Are you F&*king kidding me Chris? It's called common Fu*&^(ng sense. Good luck, see you in November!
ReplyDeleteReal funny, Ed. You're quite the jokester on this blog aren't you? Well my friend, your fun and games will soon be coming to a screeching halt on this next race. Team Bling has spent the last year dusting up on our geography so you'd better get your boxing friend Homey Clause to help you limber up for the race because all you'll see of me is my backside as you're chasing the leader.
ReplyDeleteOh, and Dan, pluuueeeezzzz don't lecture me about common sense. I vividly recall someone on the Vegas leg of the trip slumped over some random blackjack table with 95 cigarettes hanging out of his mouth and a 100 stripper cards in his pocket...
Announcement coming at 12:00:01 am (March 1st) MOSCOW time. Got to go have a few Captain & Cokes now.
